Female Military Veterans in Manufacturing

The Manufacturing Institute estimates that over 200,000 women currently serving in the military will come home in the next year. The Institute’s new video, “Women Veterans Discuss Transition to Manufacturing,” shares some of the insights of female military veterans who found careers in the manufacturing and distribution industry.

“When I finished my tour, I decided to get my education and was ready for the next step,” says Anna Gamache, who served in the Navy for 5 years. “Everything that I learned in the Navy was really a platform for me to have the ambition to go into the career path that I am on currently.” Gamache is now a senior industrial engineer with Alcoa Howmet Hampton.
